Aaron Christopher Cohen

I am a technologist and film producer based in New York City with over a decade of experience designing and implementing technical projects in a vareity of industries including digital media startups, risk management and print media.

Steeped in technology since birth, I rode my bike to school past the HP garage every day in the birthplace of Silicon Valley, Palo Alto. I built my first website when I was 11 years old.

With my broad experience, technical acumen and intense passion for digital media I hope to continue to change how people find, experience and share content that both excites and informs.

AnyClip
Director of Content Operations & IT
March 2009 to September 2010

AnyClip is a movie search engine dedicated to helping you find, relive and share your favorite movie moments. Now based in Jerusalem, AnyClip was founded in New York City with the goal of leveraging the 50+ billion movie-specific searches made each year into a compelling yet *legal* consumer experience.

At AnyClip, I was hire #2. I worked to develop a proprietary metadata creation system and corresponding "tagging ontology" in order to make films searchable not only by dialog but by what is actually on the screen. Want to see every red Ford Mustang ever driven on screen? Every glass of orange juice? Every instance of someone saying "I love you"? AnyClip can show you.

I also negotiated with independent and Big Six movie studios to explain the benefits of making their content libraries searchable. After we secured content deals, I was responsible for the intake and tagging of licensed content as well as the management of the American tagging staff.
